Accounting Analyst
Description
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of assigned accounts including preparing, booking, account analysis, and management reporting.
· Ensure timely reporting and accurate processing of all assigned accounts in accordance with contract terms and department procedures.
· Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed as well as interface with all levels and departments within the organization to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of received and booked accounts.
· Assist with the monthly/quarterly corporate closing process to ensure adherence to fast close requirements.
· Assist in analyzing financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis.
· Assist on special projects or other duties as assigned by management.
· Assist in managing Letters of Credit by appropriately notifying Treasury Services of all large receipts and disbursements and preparing disbursements to include verifying all client requests for payment to ensure agreement with contract terms.
Desired Experience
· College Degree or Associate Degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) and or
1 - 3 years of insurance/reinsurance accounting experience.
· Strong Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, relationships, teamwork.
· Strong writing, analytical, and technical (accounting and math) skills.
· Strong Microsoft office Excel skills are a must.
· Excellent PC skills.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Comfortable working with all functions and levels of the organization.
· Self-starter; capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
