Sr. Financial Analyst, Clinical Research & Medical Affairs
Description
Assist the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis with preparation of the global Clinical Research & Medical Affairs business plan and forecast updates based on a solid understanding of client roles and objectives.
2. Maintain a strong rapport with clients to gather and share business intelligence which may impact the business plan. Provide department managers with monthly expense reports, explanations of key variances, and recommended corrective actions.
3. Develop and maintain systems, processes and routines which provide the basis for timely and effective decision making, sound internal controls, and adherence to GAAP.
4. In support Strategic Planning, depict life cycle financial implications of existing and proposed clinical trial portfolios.
5. Review contracts and purchase orders prior to their execution to ensure they are compatible with the business plan and contain sound business language.
6. Assist with the preparation of financial presentations to Senior Management.
7. Support monthly general ledger closings. Prepare journal entries in support of required accruals, reclassifications or other adjustments resulting from monthly review of operations and knowledge of business.
8. Support legal and tax reporting requirements.
9. Train non-financial clients in accounting and control methodology.
Desired Experience
• Accounting degree required; MBA and CPA/Equivalent certification desirable.
• Pharma industry experience.
• 5 years Accounting/Controlling experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word. Experience with integrated accounting software and custom report writing tools.

$80,000 to $95,000 plus bonus & options
