Director External Reporting & Technical Accounting
Description
• Draft disclosures contained in SEC filings (10-Q/Ks, 8-Ks, bond offerings, etc.) to assist in completing SEC documents
• Ensure SEC documents are complete and accurate and that adequate support is provided for all disclosures
• Serve as liaison with external auditors, business units and corporate teams (Legal, Tax, Treasury, Planning, Corporate Communications)
• Review board presentations and investor presentations to ensure that historical information included is accurate and complete
• Review earnings releases and conference call transcripts to ensure that information reported to the public is accurate
• Perform technical research to resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Advise senior management on potential issues with current and emerging accounting issues
• Supervise external reporting and technical accounting staff of 3
• Serve as the corporate finance contact person on ad-hoc projects (such as bond offerings, securitizations, etc.) to ensure that accounting and reporting issues are being properly addressed
• Assist in the coordination of supporting packages received from the business units to ensure that information is received in accordance with the disclosure requirements and is completed in accordance with the instructions
• Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley processes to ensure that filed documents are complete and accurate
• Assist in the completion of pension plan financial statements and related audits
Desired Experience
• CPA required
• Minimum 5-6 years “Big Four” Public Accounting experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in Microsoft Excel & Word required
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management preferred but not required

Compensation
$120,000 to $145,000 pplus bonus
