Audit Specialist
Description
Fortune 500 company seeks an audit professional for the company's newly created rotational program.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of financial and operating processes
Proactively assess risks, plan and execute audit deliverables
Communicate audit results and recommendations to senior management
Generate and drive improvement efforts
Develop world class communication and leadership skills
Perform audits of business units, support activities and functions
Conduct preliminary survey of audit areas to define scope
Develop audit programs to ensure complete analysis of assigned areas
Prepare audit memos detailing findings for review with appropriate management personnel
Prepare and assemble working papers for assigned audits
Provide timely status reports to Audit Manager and/or Audit Director on progress of activities
Prepare audit report
Present findings to management
Develop value added relationships with local and senior management of the business lines
Desired Experience
3 7 years experience in Big 4 Public or National Accounting firm
Bachelors degree in Accounting and CPA
Moderate out of town and local travel, estimated at no more than 20-30% per year - a limited number of international assignments may also be required
Ability to work independently and proactively to execute critical tasks, including business risk identification, audit program development and execution, audit observation discussion and development, and interaction with key management associates
Consistently demonstrate leadership characteristics (i.e., diplomacy, decisiveness, assertiveness, cooperativeness)
