Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant to be responsible for intercompany accounting, reconciliation and communications, coordination of sales and use tax audits, preparation of various state and local non income tax returns, foreign currency payments, month end closing entries and other ad hoc requirements.

Sr. Financial Analyst, Clinical Research & Medical Affairs

Assist the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis with preparation of the global Clinical Research & Medical Affairs business plan and forecast updates based on a solid understanding of client roles and objectives.

Manager Team Finance

Description

This position works with the League Finance group and the Member Teams to analyze and interpret financial data and support League-wide initiatives.

The position is responsible for coordinating, maintaining and updating Team financial information used in evaluating results, understanding trends, defining issues and identifying opportunities.

• Accumulate Team Income reporting used by the League and the Player’s Association in determining salary cap and escrow distribution levels. • Summarize Team CFS (Combined Financial Statement) information used to determine the consolidated Industry results. • Analyze Team financial data, prepare variance analysis and summarize performance metrics. • Maintain Team historical financial information used as key industry indicators. • Support Teams and act as liaison for League initiatives. • Work with third party consultants and provide financial information necessary in identifying Revenue Assistance recipient Teams. • Update annual Five Year Plan submissions and reconcile budget to actuals for the current season. • Assist on special projects, strategic plans and other league initiatives. • Prepare playoff budgets and summarize and evaluate results. • Coordinate Team payments for pre-season games, luxury suite assessments, other fees, etc. • Report Gate receipts to League and Team personnel. Provide analytics on fluctuations in units sold and revenues compared to the prior season. • Assist in preparing presentations to League executives and Team Owners. • Coordinate official ticket reporting (usage and pricing) ensuring appropriate tax treatment.

Desired Experience

• Minimum of 2-4 years experience in general accounting and/or financial analysis (big four experience preferred). • Possess good written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient with MS Excel and Word. • Experience with Peoplesoft, Hyperion, Power Point and Financial Modeling preferred. • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA Preferred.
