Manager, Financial Reporting
Description
The Retirement Finance department is responsible for accounting controls, financial reporting, planning and analysis for the Retirement businesses, as well as supporting financial systems and product development.
Within the department the External Reporting Unit (ERU) is responsible for external financial reporting, accounting policy, and tax reporting for the businesses. The responsibilities of the ERU Manager will include:
- Quarterly tax reporting, forecasting and analysis for the Retirement business
- Key liaison between Retirement Finance and the Corporate Tax Department
- Preparation of quarterly financial presentations to be made to senior Corporate and Retirement financial management supporting earnings releases, the QFS and SEC filings
- Documenting and implementing GAAP accounting policies related to new products/initiatives and new accounting pronouncements
- Documenting accounting for new products and initiatives
- Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley compliance initiatives
- Partnering with Retirement business contacts including actuarial, operations, risk management, corporate accounting policy, corporate tax, and internal and external auditors
Desired Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other business-related field
- Prior Tax reporting and/or financial reporting experience
- Accounting policy background beneficial
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Windows applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to develop relationships with business contacts

Compensation
$85,000 to $110,000 plus 35% bonus
