Sr. Financial Analyst
Description
The position is responsible for detailed analysis related to resolution of discrepancies affecting freight carriers and merchandise vendors. As the owner of this area, the individual would also be responsible for all systems related changes/testing and process improvement recommendations. The individual will have daily interaction with many other areas of the organization as part of his/her responsibilities.
The position is also responsible for the overall reporting generated by other members of the department, as well as the direct supervision of at least one associate.
The position entails insuring that processes are working correctly, and producing expected results. Where issues arise, it involves making sure that existing processes continue to operate properly with any new changes that take place. The scope of this position revolves around, but is not limited to freight claims, and their financial impact.
This associate will interact with all areas of the company daily/weekly/monthly. Communications provide direction, insight, and reporting on various aspects of the system.
Associate must develop a working knowledge of the system being analyzed, and be able to identify issues that may affect performance. They must be able to work with people in various areas to drive the process.
Desired Experience
Finance background is essential

Spreadsheet/Word skills are essential
Access knowledge is desirable
Good communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work with all levels of personnel.
