Sr. Manager External Reporting
Description
Responsible for assisting in the preparation and filing of SEC financial filings (10-Qs, 10-K, 8-K, etc.), including drafting of financial statements, related footnotes and MD&A.
Accountable for the timely and accurate filing of the documents, including Edgarization of and filing with the SEC Assist the Director of Financial Reporting in providing technical accounting support to senior management and to corporate and business units, including evaluating accounting and financial implications of complex business transactions. Assume an active role in various special projects, including researching issues, coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams, and presenting recommendations to senior management. Research and coordinate the implementation of all new accounting standards, including assessing the impacts to the global organization and ensuring an accurate transition during implementation. Responsible for establishing/maintaining Global Accounting Policies for a rapidly growing multi-national organization. Assist in coordinating the quarterly and year-end reviews/audits with external auditors. Analysis of monthly and quarterly balance sheet, income statements and cash flow statements to ensure financial data is accurate and relevant in regard to external filings.
Desired Experience
B.S. in Accounting, CPA required Minimum 7 to 10 years experience, including public accounting experience preferably with Big 4 firm and/or relevant industry experience. Prior SEC reporting experience Good communication and interpersonal skills Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles Good planning, organizational and project management skills Strong analytical skills Strong computer skills required
