Director External Reporting & Accounting Policy
Description
This is the key role in connection with the company’s consolidated financial statements, SEC filings, and results reported to owners and debt-holders. This director leads two teams: 1) External Reporting team which focuses on Ks & Qs, coordination with Investor Relations/Treasury and Media Relations and corporate counsel, ensuring consistency between the SEC filings, the earnings releases, the management reports, the debt covenants and other public/quasi-public communications, etc. 2) Accounting Policy team which researches and provides consultation on US GAAP and SEC technical accounting matters, drafts/updates accounting policies, prepares/presents presentations on technical accounting matters, etc. The Director is a key leader in the Finance Organization. The Director is part of the Disclosure Committee, and spends a lot of time in meetings and one on one with the Controller, CFO and other leaders. We look to this Director as someone who must provide leadership, guidance and insight to the Finance Organization as a whole in connection with ensuring that our financial statements and other public disclosures are of the very best quality, consistency and clarity in order to maximize the interests of stockholders and stakeholders.
