Team Lead, Financial Reporting
Description
This position is part of the real estate investors finance group.
·Review of 3rd party portfolio financial statements – prepared on a quarterly/annual basis. 3rd party portfolio financial statements are prepared for each of the funds that are managed by the company. They are prepared under different basis including but not limited to GAAP, IFRS, Income tax, etc.
·Coordination of the guarantee and commitment off-balance sheet process.
·Participate in on-site/in-house property manager reviews.
·Research technical literature for accounting policy related to the funds.
·Assist with industry wide initiatives.
·Assist with company initiatives.
·Assist with Sarbanes Oxley testing.
·Assist with auditor coordination.
·Responding to various ad hoc requests from senior executives and areas outside the business segment.
·Recommending improvements of the reports and information currently produced to assist in making them more useful to company management.
Desired Experience
Undergraduate or advanced degree in Accounting, must be a CPA or parts passed.
·Experience with preparing/reviewing financial statements.
·Strong analytical and research skills.
·Good written and verbal communication skills.
·Proficiency with standard PC applications such as Excel and Word.
·Ability to deal effectively with all levels including business unit senior management.

Compensation
$65,000 to $70,000 plus 25% bonus
