Fixed Asset Accountant
Description
This position is responsible for handling all accounting and financial reporting related to capital expenditures on an actual and forecast basis.
1. Review invoices for proper coding of capital expenditures.
2. Ensure all capital invoices include approved capital request form.
3. Maintain Fixed Asset Subledger (FAS)
4. Prepare monthly journal entries and roll-forwards related to Fixed Assets
5. Perform month-end close procedures for Fixed Assets
6. Perform accounting for acquisitions and divestitures
7. General Ledger analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
8. Review Capital invoices and insure that proper tax accruals are made
9. Review, analyze and maintain Capital Spending Requests
10. Prepare models for certain Capital Projects
11. Coordinate Capital spending with Real Estate Managers and individual markets
12. Prepare annual budget and quarterly estimates for all US Capital Projects
13. Maintain monthly Capital forecast
14. Perform SOX Testing
15. Prepare auditor requests
16. Extensive Ad Hoc analysis
17. Assist with special projects
Desired Experience
1. 3-5 years finance/accounting experience public and/or private
2. Strong analytical skills
3. Strong Excel skills
4. Strong Oracle skills. Experience with Fixed Asset Subledger system (FAS) a plus.
5. General computer proficiency in a windows environment (Word, Etc)
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
7. Strong organizational skills, ability to handle details and the ability to multi-task
8. Strong team player and who can work independently

$60,000 to $80,000
