Audit Manager
Description
Fortune 300 company seeks an Audit Manager. Under the direction of the CFO, this role will be part of a new rotational program. After 2 years in the audit group, the candidate will have the opportunity to rotate into an accounting or finance position.
1. Manages operational audits of business units, activities, and functions. Performs the following with little or no supervision: A. Conducts preliminary surveys of audit areas to define scope. B. Prepares planning memos and engagement letters. C. Develops audit programs ensuring complete coverage and analysis of assigned areas. D. Prepares and assembles working papers for assigned audits. E. Prepares audit reports and reviews findings with CAD management and the client. F. Acts as department resource for knowledge in a critical subject matter area and/or of key business processes. G. Reviews associates’ work and provides feedback. Provides quality control and assures that all work is performed according to IIA Standards.
2. Ensures that issues or problems are addressed and communicated appropriately in a timely manner. A. Develops and communicates recommendations which resolve or prevent errors and enhance controls within the audited entity. B. Provides timely status reports to audit sponsor regarding progress of activities and issues.
3. Serve as project manager of moderate to large audits with moderate to high complexity and perform special reviews as requested.
Desired Experience
PLEASE NOTE: This position requires some out of town and local travel. Estimated travel per year is roughly 30-35%.
QUALIFICATIONS: 5 -7+ years operational audit experience required. Bachelors degree or equivalent in experience required. CPA and MBA a plus. Ideal candidate should have strong process audit background with exceptional ability in analyzing risk and establishing detailed controls to minimize that risk. Microsoft Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel). Excellent communication/presentation skills required (both written and oral).
