Senior Business Analyst
Description
Provide financial and analytical business decision support to Market General Managers, and other internal customers while pursuing opportunities to add value to management’s decision-making ability.
Assist customers in filtering investment options to ensure consistency and alignment with corporate objectives by applying a full understanding of the 2020 vision and staged objectives.
Perform analyses and evaluations of various programs and investments (i.e. advertising, programs, pricing changes, distribution, etc.) at pre/post implementation basis to extract knowledge for future application and communicating across markets/departments.
Assess tactical issues and options using standardized approaches such as NPV and ROI to develop and support business recommendations and alternatives based on observed opportunities.
Identify and manipulate applicable data (from various sources) to transform it for analytical use and provide recommendations from results to solve business issues.
Identify and quantify opportunities as well as degrees of risk associated with forecasted financial/business outcomes and potential trade-offs based on in-depth understanding of the corporate objectives and external environment/trends.
Support functional/marketing managers in the preparation and control of budgets as well as on-going resource allocations through applying in-depth knowledge of the business drivers.
Understand the sales/cost drivers (internal and external) and evaluate/forecast various scenarios in revenue/cost projections.
Apply extensive knowledge of the internal customer’s business to assist with designing, tracking, reporting, and analyzing dashboard metrics and transform learning into actionable next steps.
Present recommendations and analyses to diverse teams across all disciplines of the organization.
Diagnose, collect, analyze, interpret, and incorporate evolving business needs into on-going support portfolio (processes and tools).
Identify and bring forth key earnings to customers and the strategic planning team.
Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Desired Experience
BA/BS required, preferably in business, finance, economics, or engineering. MBA preferred.
Strong analytical, quantitative and detail oriented skills with an understanding of the financial aspects and business commanding financial evaluation tools and methods (i.e. NPV, EVA).
Exceptional Excel and Access skills are necessary. Visual Basic skills are a plus.
Knowledge of rolling forecast methodology is desired.
Proficiency with Business Objects and other mining tools.
Ability to understand financial statements and respective components.
Ability to interpret and apply external environmental assessments and trends.
Demonstrated ability to both focus on detail and to conceptualize and comprehend a global strategy.
Prior experience within a consumer product manufacturing/retail field.
Self directed, highly driven, with a strong business sense and professional presence.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Team player with a proven track record in establishing internal relationships and partnering within an organization to get the job done.
A comfort level in dealing with senior management.
Excellent written/oral communication skills.

$75,000 to $95,000 plus bonus
