Senior Accountant
Description
Summary:
Assists the Accounting Manager in all areas of the accounting function.
Responsibilities:
• Review and approve monthly/quarterly journal entries
• Analyze general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements
• Analyze variances
• Cost accounting
• Research technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memorandums
• Work with external/internal auditors during annual audit and quarterly reviews
• Maintaining/reviewing SOX templates on a quarterly basis
• Review/Implement/Revise financial policies/procedures on a periodic basis to include process improvements as needed
• Assist Division Controller/Accounting Manager on special projects as needed
Desired Experience
• CPA Preferred
• 3+ years prior accounting experience
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• Public accounting experience preferred; experience working for a pubic company required
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Previous experience preparing/reviewing financial statements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Strong Excel/Powerpoint/Word skills

Compensation
$60,000 to $70,000 plus 20% bonus
